Sisters who dared to take the lead...

i was out in service during a week day with a car group of sister pioneers...very few brothers went out in the week...we had 6 people and i was the only male...we arrived at our street and the head sister pioneer turned to everyone and said, "ok you 2 start at this end, you 2 start on the other side and work this way and me and bro (myself) will start here...she then got a horrified look on her face and turned to me and said, "if that's ok with you"...i just said, "sounds good to me"...at that moment i thought how sad she had to defer to my so called headship...

Well I’m shocked….What was the point in god making women inferior if they are then going to try to take over the mans superior roll. This sister should have known her place. Disgraceful…..(shakes head and exhales loudly)

so the next step i realized after meeting with the elders monday night was to say some "goodbyes" while i'm still able to.

now, the elders kept "wanting" me to "fade" .

.. again, many people are telling me that they might be nice, but when they report back to the whole body, they could decide something else.

It’s a strange feeling when you have to say goodbye to someone who you have been friends with for years, and have no real reason to be saying goodbye apart from a new way of thinking.

I had something similar earlier this year (although I didn’t tell my friend I loved him). He needed faith and knew I was a threat to it. Sad when religion comes between old friends.

I can’t believe some of the answers to your question. One person was wondering if those other religions came after C.T.Russell started up the WTS. The ‘seventh day Adventists’ and the ‘Christadelphians’ both started before Russell and would have influenced his own religion.

There is absolutely no excuse for not knowing about other religions. How can these ones in the organisation go from door to door in such ignorance…..??

I have the book and it is on my list to read next. Reading one similar at the moment.

Your point about the difference between Brainwashing and mind control is a great point. Mind control will self perpetuate and convince the person from the inside of their own reasoning.

The other good point is loaded language. When you read the societies literature now, you can see it plain as day. But it is written so subtly and is almost impossible to see when under the spell of the organisation.

Can’t wait to read this book.

did adam and eve have belly buttons?

(navels).

you and i have them because we were a fetus and had a umbilical cord attached to us to provide nourishment and removal of waste etc.. since adam and eve was created and not born (and this is from a reliable source) would they have had a belly button.. .
